Indonesia has declared its commitment to reduceemissions by 26–41% by 2020. More than 50% ofthe emission reduction target is intended to comefrom the land-use, land-use-change and forestrysector (LULUCF)
A monitoring, reporting and validating system isnecessary to compare the performance of climatechangemitigation actions against past emissions
Credible past emission estimates are required, forwhich we need two basic data sets: (1) historicalland-use changes; and (2) emission factors foreach land-use change, before and after thechange |
