The Video Baseline Survey (VBLS) was a part of theClimate-smart, Tree-based Co-investment in Adaptation and Mitigation in Asia(Smart Tree-Invest) project, which was supported by the International Fund forAgricultural Development. The project had sites in Viet Nam, Indonesia and thePhilippines.
As well as being a research tool to examine changes in perceptions over time, the VBLS was also a communication tool used to amplify the voices of individualfarmers and government officers and share reflections through a powerfulcombination of moving images, sounds and stories.
In the VBLS, farmers expressed their concern for their landscapes and climatevariability and its impacts, as well as desirable changes for the future. |
